Margie Austin, R.D.H., M.S.
Margie Austin earned an A.A. in Dental Hygiene from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J. in 1973 and has been a practicing dental hygienist since then. She graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene in 1975 and was awarded membership in the Phi Omega Epsilon Honor Society. In 1993 Margie received an M.S. in Systems Science with a concentration in Environmental Studies from FDU. She has experience working with general practitioners as well as specialists in periodontal and pediatric dentistry.
Growing up in semi-rural Pennsylvania in her childhood and early teenage years instilled a deep love of nature and respect for the environment. Most of her adult years were spent living in Bergen County N.J. where she met her husband Larry. After vacationing on Cape Cod for over 10 years they made the move to Brewster because “it felt like home.” Larry maintains a private practice in psychotherapy and divorce mediation in Brewster and West Yarmouth.
Volunteering as a photographer for the Pan Mass Challenge in Wellfleet and Provincetown has been a passion since 2006. Margie has also volunteered her time serving other local non-profits and sitting on association boards. In addition to photography, other interests include travel, learning new languages, culinary arts, shellfishing and environmental issues.
Margie is very excited to be a part of this dynamic practice on the Outer Cape.
